When someone asks what I do for a living, I usually give a simple answer: ‘I’m a painter.’
But the truth is that my work is much more varied.
Many people know my abstract paintings, but not everyone knows that I also create portraits and caricatures, teach drawing and painting courses, and occasionally design my own accessories.
Intuitive abstract painting
My abstract paintings express who I am most fully. I love the freedom, emotions, textures and stories behind them.
Some paintings are created as independent works and are available to buy straight away. Others are commissions shaped by my clients’ wishes, their spaces or their life stories.
Each painting is an original, created by hand in my studio in Beroun.
Portraits from photographs
Alongside abstract art, I also create portraits.
I paint portraits in acrylic on canvas and also draw pencil portraits from photographs.
These are often gifts for birthdays or anniversaries, or a way to remember loved ones.
High-contrast portraits and caricatures
I enjoy a little exaggeration too.
That is why I create high-contrast black-and-white portraits with a strong sense of character, as well as caricatures that make people smile while preserving the sitter’s likeness.
Caricatures were among the first things that brought me many happy customers.
Drawing and painting courses
Working with people brings me great joy.
I run drawing and painting courses for children and adults in my studio.
It is not just about technique. I want to show people that absolutely anyone can create, and that art is not about talent so much as the desire to begin.
Designer accessories
It may come as a surprise that I occasionally design my own accessories too.
These have included wallets, handbags and dresses featuring motifs from my paintings.
This is not the main focus of my work, and I do not promote these pieces very much, but I love seeing my paintings become part of everyday life.
The wallets also often make distinctive gifts for my clients.

And what do I enjoy most?
Creating things with a story.
Whether it is an abstract painting, a portrait from a photograph, a caricature or a course for children, what brings me the most joy is the moment when my work makes someone happy, stirs a memory or gives them the courage to create something of their own.
Because art is not just about what we see.
Above all, it is about what stays with us.
