Big Week for Small Businesses is a project that supports Czech makers, craftspeople and entrepreneurs. I’m delighted that my Atelier Kristýny Smetanové in Beroun is taking part this year. I believe events like these help people discover the beauty of handmade work and the stories behind it.
From 13 to 17 October 2025, I invite you to my open studio days. You can drop in every day from 9:00 to 15:00 to explore my newly renovated space. You’ll see where I create abstract paintings, portraits, caricatures and other original work.
The week will also include a chance to see my ongoing courses in action, which I run for children and adults. Perhaps you’ll discover a desire to paint here too.
You can browse my work, buy an original painting or accessory , or take home a small gift as a reminder of your visit. I’d love to show you how ideas take shape, how I choose my colours and how I create series such as Native American Women and I See.
