Art Gang Lends a Hand – AUCTION OF 7 PAINTINGS – 27.7.-18.8.2024
Past
From the encounter with art.
At the beginning of September, I had the pleasure of joining other women painters from Art Gang to visit our lovely, talented Nella in Znojmo. This was no ordinary visit – it was a celebration of the successful painting auction we had organised in support of Nella. I am delighted to say that we managed to raise an incredible 42 thousand crowns, which we subsequently handed over.
On the day of our visit, Nella welcomed us with open arms, together with her wonderful, loving mother and their adorable dog Locika. We spent a beautiful day filled with laughter and conversations about art. Nellča also showed us her lovely paintings. We went out for ice cream and drinks, exchanged gifts and shared happy moments. Nella was truly delighted by our visit, and her joy was the greatest reward we could have wished for.
My painting entitled Little Angel was sold at the auction and will travel all the way to Egypt, which is a great honour for me. This whole experience reminded me how important and beautiful the connections between artists are, and how much a shared effort can do to bring joy and support where they are needed. (You will also find photographs of our get-together below.)

🩷💜When my artist friends and I chose an angel theme for the auction to help Nella, I knew straight away that I would paint a Native American angel. This is a deeply personal subject for me, because my love of Native Americans is closely tied to my memories of my dad.
For me, this painting, 💞Angeliánka💞, represents the hope, strength and support that can help us through difficult times. I believe that everyone who looks at it will feel the calm and peace I have put into it. By buying this painting, you will not only support Nella but also bring a little of that hope and protection into your home.💜
Angeliánka is a painting full of emotion and symbolism. It depicts a mystical being with angel wings spread against a dramatic purple and orange sunset. The figure, shrouded in dark colours, stands in a field of tall grasses, surrounded by birds in flight that create a sense of movement and freedom. Light shining between the wings gives the scene an ethereal atmosphere and emphasises the contrast between light and darkness. This painting evokes feelings of calm and mystery, as well as strength and hope, as though Angeliánka were a guardian between the human world and the heavenly realm.🩷💜
